Income Essentials provides salary packaging advice to employees, not financial planning or investment advice.

Employees may seek financial planning advice or investment advice from their own planner or Income Essentials may refer them to a consultant conversant with FBT practice when asked to do so.

In these cases a financial plan fee may be incurred, if so this may then be included in the salary package.

Employers need to be aware that when they stipulate that it is mandatory under their program for employees to seek external financial planning advice, both an extra fee for service will be incurred and in many cases the planner will take the opportunity to cross sell other financial and investment products to the benefit of their employees.
