Salary Packaging Handbook
A Salary Packaging Handbook is prepared by Income Essentials in consultation with the Employer client for distribution to eligible employees by the employer. This handbook summarises the range of benefits available to staff and the benefits associated with each item. The range of benefits available to employees is determined during discussions with the employer as to their specific requirements, an approved benefits list will be determined.
For ease of access to employees many employers post the finished Handbook on their Intranet where it serves as the company policy on salary packaging.
When an employee signs the Income Essentials, Authority to Proceed, they are providing their employer with an acknowledgment that they have read the employer's Salary Package Handbook and also that they have communicated with Income Essentials as to their requirements.
